How adorable are these twin baby red pandas that were born at Zoo Boise?! The fraternal twins arrived June 21st to their parents Dolly and Spud. This is the seventh litter for Mama Dolly, so she’s a pro to this new Mom thing. She was paired with Spud as part of the Red Panda Species Survival Program.

Want to name the new cubs? The right to name them will be auctioned off on August 27th at the annual Zoobilee gala.

If you’ve been to the zoo between June 21st and now, you probably haven’t seen the new red pandas. They’ve been hiding in their den with their Mama, but will venture out into the exhibit soon.

Red pandas are considered endangered, so these cubs are extra special. According to an article on KTVB, there are fewer than 10,000 red pandas in the wild.
