Light The Night From a Personal View

I’ve had non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for over 16 years. I have both small and large B-cell. Having both is very rare. It flat out sucks to have to deal with it and it can happen to anyone, especially once you’re over 40.

I don’t know why I’ve managed to rebound from each round of cancer. I almost made it to 5 years once between diagnosis, but the stuff returned. I was 5 days from being able to get insurance in case I got cancer. That would have helped massively. Cancer costs, especially if you survive it and if it’s not curable. That’s the boat I’m in.

The LLS Society are having their annual “Night The Light” walk will happen Thursday, October 22nd. You can go to https://www.lightthenight.org/events/boise for information and registration.

On Thursday night walk for someone. Do it to show support and to light up the night.

Here is a picture from the last time the Light the Night walk was live. That is me in the hat recovering from major Chemo. When I saw this picture it was a bit of a shock, for the first time I really realized that I do have cancer and I’m one of the few who still manage to beat it.
