The Boise Police Department has added a new member to their family. Clover is a two-year-old female Golden Retriever who will be part of the bike unit as an outreach canine.

Clover was not in good shape when she first arrived at the Idaho Humane Society. According to an article on KTVB, she was severely underweight, depressed, and lethargic. After further examination they found that Clover had chewed up and swallowed a rubber toy. Surgery was performed and Clover started to recover.

11-weeks-later, and she’s gone from 27 pounds to 40 pounds and her blood work is completely normal.

The Boise Police Department says Clover has exactly the kind of gentle temperament they have been looking for in a dog, so it’s a perfect fit.

Welcome home Clover! We are so grateful for your second chance at a beautiful life and we know you will serve this community well!
