Humane Society in Desperate Need of Foster Parents

Being a foster parent to a fur-baby is so rewarding. We know first hand. We fostered this beautiful cat nearly a year ago and now she has a beautiful family, but we still have the opportunity to babysit her when they go out of town. It’s been a wonderful journey.

Right now West Valley Humane Society is in desperate need of foster families for both dogs and cats. With spring kittens and pups on the rise and the shelter packed to the brim, mothers are having to give birth in the shelter which is a stressful situation for the mother.

When you foster a pet or pets the humane society provides you with everything you need. From food to litter, bedding, and any medications that may be needed. All you have to do is open up your heart and your home and take your foster pet in for an occasional check-up. As a foster you will keep the pet until he or she is old enough or well enough to be adopted.

Fostering a pet is an ideal situation if you are considering bringing a pet permanently into your home. It gives you a reality check of what it takes to care for this new family member and it’s such a wonderful experience even if you decided not to adopt the pet you are fostering, you are playing a critical role in their mental physical well being until they can find their forever home.
