Will Smith in Boise, Idaho? What? If you haven’t heard yet, this mega superstar is touching lives all over the world and it has something to do with right here in Boise, Idaho.

It’s not as glamorous as it all sounds. The ‘A-List’ actor who got his start many decades ago as a young rapper and actor on The Fresh Prince of Belair isn’t physically in the Boise area but he is connected.

According to KTVB, one of our BSU professors, Dr. Jeffrey Johnson has been closely working with Smith researching a specific volcano on an island in the South Pacific Ocean for a new Disney show called Welcome To Earth.

Welcome To Earth is a documentary that dives into places at the end of the earth that nobody’s heard of or seen. At this time we don’t know when it’ll air.
