Whatchu Know About (Idaho) Taxes?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – NOT!

Tax season is upon us & if you’re still scrambling to get all your W2’s and 1040’s and all the other long, confusing forms with lots of letters and numbers in order, you still have a few more weeks to get it all handled.

It’s a funny thing. When I know I’m getting a fat refund, I file that baby ASAP.

But when I know Uncle Sam is not gonna be so nice to me, I tend to drag my feet a little more – like this year.

Fortunately, the Idaho Tax Commission has extended the 2020 Idaho income tax filing and payment deadlines from April 15, 2021 to May 17, 2021 to match the extended federal deadline.

That means, there won’t be any penalties or interest if taxpayers file their return and pay the income tax they owe by May 17. Boom!
