West Ada Teens Headed for International Lego Competition

Teens from Heritage Middle School, Sawtooth Middle School, and an online school will be headed to Houston, Texas April 20-23rd for the first ever Lego League World Festival! After a series of wins this very talented group will compete in the one of a kind international event for youth robotics, celebrating science, technology, engineering, and math.

To a Facebook post by KTVB’s Maggie O’Mare, to qualify the team of 7 middle schoolers won multiple awards, including the championship, at the local district competition in December 2021. This qualified the team to compete in the South Idaho competition in January, where they won again! The Idaho State Championship was held in February and they got the coveted state win! The team is looking for donations to cover their travel expenses and will be at Meridian City Hall this Friday to show the community what they do!
