Treasure Valley Cooling Shelters

Heat is the #1 weather-related killer in the United States of America and the Boise, Idaho area is officially under attack from our dear Mother Nature. We’re looking at most days over 100 degrees for the next two weeks. We have a list of Cooling Stations right here in the Treasure Valley.

So where does one go if they have no air condition or cool place to live, work, or reside? Many spots have popped up across the Treasure Valley. Please make sure to take advantage if you or your family is in need. Also, please pass this info along to others that may need a cool place to stay.

  • Boise Rescue Mission Ministries: 24-hours, Monday through Sunday

  • Boise Library, downtown location: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Cathedral of the Rockies Church, downtown campus: Noon to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday

  • Corpus Christi House: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday

  • Interfaith Sanctuary Housing Services: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Sunday

You can never be too careful. Stay hydrated, stay out of the sun or at least prepared if you’re in it, and stay safe.
