Tamica’s Hope - Motorcycle Ride & Fundraiser: 5/22/21
It warms my heart to see people in the community come together to love on and support those who are going through challenging time.
Tamica’s Hope Ride & Fundraiser is being hosted by Rising Phynix Babes at High Desert Harley Davidson in Meridian... the reason for this motorcycle ride: is to support Tamica, a local 23 year old who was diagnosed with Adrenal Carcinoma in Sept. of 2019 - and still fighting today.
A little about Tamica: Living in Nampa, ID - she is described by loved ones as being an intelligent, colorful, loving & caring young woman who loves singing & playing the violin, & ukulele! She studied elementary education at Boise State University and was working as a preschool teacher. Unfortunately, because of the complications that have come along with cancer (such as Fibromyalgia, severe pain and fatigue) …her ability to work has been greatly effected.
After her 2019 diagnosis, Tamica unfortunately lost her left kidney. Since then, doctors have been monitoring her for over a year… with regular scans and blood work, but unfortynately, have recently discovered a resurgence of a 3mm mass in her left lung that grew to 7mm by the time she had it removed on April 8th 2021. In addition to that, she has a few small tumors that doctors weren't able to remove. The plan for that is to start chemo as well as doing immunotherapy in hopes of helping to shrink the tumors.
According to the facebook page dedicated to the ride happening tomorrow: Tamica has managed to keep a positive outlook on life although with the emotional and financial turmoil her illness has caused.

If you want to help support Tamica and join tomorrow's ride - be at High Desert Harley Davidson tomorrow morning (rain or shine!) at 10am for registration - the registration fees will go directly to Tamica and supporting her! Riders will be returning to High Desert Harley-Davidson at about 3pm for auctions and raffles as well as a band! Everyone is welcome and all the proceeds go to Tamica!
