Still A Mess on Highway 55

ID-55 will remain closed through at least Nov. 29. Crews have been working to remove boulders and mud, provide ongoing monitoring of conditions, and experts have established an interim plan to safely open the road for the winter.

A long-term plan for rockslide area will be determined over the coming months. The immediate focus is to secure the newly widened slope before winter conditions set in.
