Chocolate Dr. Pepper: YAY or NAY?!

Yep, you read that right…. chocolate. Dr. Pepper. It’s a thing.

Dr. Pepper made the announcement today that they are launching their latest flavor: FANtastic Chocolate.

I’ve heard of flavors like cherry, lime, raspberry, lemon, orange, even cream. But CHOCOLATE? And soda? Combined? Dr. Pepper is calling it “FANtastic Chocolate” - just in time for football season. Seems odd, but might not be too bad!

The latest flavor is only available for a limited time, and according to research by Yahoo! Life, you won’t actually be able to find this soda on shelves. Instead, you will have to scan your proof of purchase QR code on Dr Pepper products and then it will prompt you to create a “Pepper Perks” account. Once you earn a qualifying amount of points, you can redeem your purchase to receive the exclusive FANtastic Chocolate flavored Dr. Pepper — as long as it’s still available. There is only a limited amount. You will also have the chance to win a trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship.
