NASA Is Looking For People To “Live On Mars”
It’s no secret that I’m slightly obsessed with outer space.
I geek out whenever the International Space Station flies over the Treasure Valley & drive my family nuts with my alien theories.
That being said, I don’t know if this job is quite my cup of tea—but maybe it is for you, especially if you’re sick and tired of PEOPLE!
NASA is hiring four people willing to pretend to live on Mars for an entire full year, with limited contact with friends & family.
They say their ideal candidate would be 30 to 55 years old & have a master's degree in a STEM field (think engineering or math).
If you’re not a math genius or a brainiac engineer, don’t worry—they'll also accept applications from people with a bachelor's degree & some relevant experience.
What that “relevant experience” is…your guess is as good as mine!
The four lucky people chosen will reside in a 1,700-square-foot enclosed space with no windows for an entire year. They'll only eat astronaut food & have limited contact with friends and family online.
It's not exactly clear how much this gig pays, but you can head to NASA's website before September 17th if you want to throw your name in the ring!
