Given that 2021 has been one of the Treasure Valley’s drier years on record, Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling has announced the city of Nampa is working with Pioneer Irrigation to extend the irrigation season as long as water is available.

This year’s drought conditions have contributed to a shorter-than-normal irrigation season and with current efforts to extend the water supply as long as possible, the final shut-off date is still subject to change.

Nampa’s weather & available storage is being evaluated weekly to determine how long this year’s irrigation season can be extended.
