Mother & Daughter Dead In Tragic Crash On Their Way To BSU
TRAGIC doesn’t even begin to describe this. A mother bringing her daughter to her first year of college here at Boise State University. Only they didn’t make it.
Anyone that’s had the privilege of helping their kid get started with their new life in college knows. They know how exciting it is. How fun, crazy, scary, and just flat out wonderful.
I’ve been blessed to do this a few times with my kids. Hitting up the stores buying dishes, towels, and all the necessary things they’ll need on their new journey is so fun. Everything’s so new and crazy it’s hard to take it all in.
Emma Nutter and Rebecca Haslemann were on their way to doing all this. Unfortunately, they never made their destination. On Friday, August 13th, they both died in a car wreck somewhere in Malheur County. We don’t have many specifics but we do know that there’s a family out there mourning and going through absolute Hell. We can only pray for them, think of them, and offer support in any way possible. Here’s what the family had to say on a special GoFundMe Page that’s been set up…
Sisters/daughters Audrey and Sydney Nutter and their father/husband Kevin Nutter lost two wonderful women to an unfortunate car crash on Friday, August 13th on the way to move Emma into her dorm at Boise State University. Emma was an outgoing and vibrant friend, sister, cousin, niece, and overall amazing person. She lived each day to the fullest and touched so many people’s hearts. Rebecca Haslemann was a teacher, friend, mother, aunt, and wife. She treated every student and friend as if they were her own child. Both Emma and Rebecca always had positive attitudes, bright smiles, and an unforgettable, courageous laugh. They will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have felt the warmth of their personalities.
