More Live Music Opportunities for Treasure Valley Audiences

With all the great concerts coming to The Treasure Valley this spring and summer, it’s hard to believe we could be getting even more. Alive After Five, Boise’s free summer concert series, is back on The Grove for its 35th year. The Downtown Boise Association has teamed up with Duck Club, the much-beloved Treefort Music Festival parent company, to breathe new life into the event.

Besides Treefort, Duck Club handles the majority of bookings for several smaller venues around downtown Boise, but this will be their first foray into what has traditionally been known as a family-centric event. The partnership creates a unique opportunity to carve out a space for younger audiences who still are not old enough for 18 and over clubs to experience their first taste of live music and downtown culture alongside young professionals escaping the midweek grind and families taking advantage of the free entertainment.

The series will kick off on June 15th with Seattle-based soul mega-group True Lovers. Described as “its own block party,” the band will definitely be bringing the good time, summer vibes to The Grove Plaza. Concerts will continue every Wednesday, 5-8 pm, through August.
