Meridian Police Seeking Public Assistance Identifying Vehicle Involved in Hit and Run

The Meridian Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a White, four (4) door, Chevy Silverado truck in the attached photo. The vehicle was last seen driving southbound on NW 8th St. in Meridian. The driver of the vehicle was involved in a hit and run located at NW 8th St. and W. Cherry Ln.
 
At approximately 3:18PM on May 16, 2022, a twelve (12) year-old female was preparing to walk across NW 8th St. using the south crosswalk of Cherry Ln., when the driver of the white pickup truck making a right turn, struck the juveniles bike, causing her to fall to the ground. The juvenile had the right of way at the time. The driver continued southbound onto NW 8th St. and did not stop.
 
The juvenile involved sustained minor injuries.
 
The vehicle is described as having all black, specialty wheels and a rolled up, black truck bed cover.
