Idaho Girl Just Wants Get Well Cards
One of the GREAT things about Idaho is we take care of our own and right now we have a little girl named Brooklyn who’s going through A LOT and all she wants as she comes home from the hospital is some Get Well Cards. She ❤️’s reading cards!
Brooklyn lives in Rupert, Idaho, and suffers from a severe form of scoliosis. Her mother, Sarah explains things best on Facebook. Here’s what she said…
“9 years ago today, we had Brooklyns very 1st appointment with her orthopedic doctor in Utah to assess her scoliosis. And today, here we sit, 2 days post op after what will be her final spinal fusion, our last ditch effort to get her straight.
So far, she’s doing good. Fingers crossed we still have good movement and ability to get around. She is fully fused from T2-pelvis. It was a hard decision to make, but one we felt was the best decision for her.
Her doctor is amazing and tried all he could with her last surgery to get her straight and it just didn’t work. We have faith in him that he has done his best work to correct her this time.
Send lots of prayers her way that recovery goes smooth and she’s back to her bouncy peppy, straighter self soon!
And a few prayers for this mama wouldn’t hurt either..... last night I almost threw in the towel!”
It doesn’t cost much to send a card. And it doesn’t take much to say a little prayer for this family.
