Cheers! BSU football games may be a little rowdier this year with liquor being sold at home games for the 2021-2022 season.

Director of Athletics, Jeremiah Dickey, released a statement today saying,

Our goal is to provide an elite fan experience on game day. Bronco Nation directly impacts our student-athletes, and ultimately, the outcome of games. My hope is that today’s announcement continues to generate excitement and helps us fill the stadium.

Alcohol will be sold at kiosks throughout Albertsons Stadium as well as in the Fan Zone, in the northeast corner of the stadium. Part of the Ford Tailgate Zone on DeChevrieux Field will be reserved for liquor sales before the games.

Before you think this move by BSU is all party and no responsibility, think again. Boise State is also launching a Drink Responsibly campaign that will be seen in and around Albertsons Stadium on game days.

A clear bag policy will also be implemented and re-entry will no longer be permitted.

Season tickets are still available, as well as mini-plan options, and single game tickets. More than 80% of the Blue Collar Passes have been sold, but some are still available.

This move by BSU brings more freedom, but hopefully we don’t take advantage of it and we drink responsibly, so as to not bring about the negatives that can come with alcohol consumption.
