Not sure if all of you are aware, the valley is experiencing a shortage of qualified umpires this season. We have lost quite a few umps this year, and they haven't been able to keep up.

They are putting out a plea for anyone that is interested in becoming an umpire, to reach out and get certified. Even being able to work one day a week would be helpful to fill the shortages.

Until they can get enough certified umps, we may face some challenges in regards to rescheduled games... its the nature of the beast.

If you are interested, reach out to BP&R and they can pass your info on to those that will be able to get you set up!

They are also hiring scorekeepers as well. Take a look at the city jobs site and apply if you are interested!  If you are interested, shoot an email to
