Today in Hip-Hop History: Dr Dre Released His Debut Solo Album “The Chronic.”
It’s no secret, I’m a HUGE hip hop fan! I' will say I probably lean more East Coast since I’m from there, but really, no matter what city it’s from, I’ll appreciate it. Back in 2015, I even dressed up with my friend Sean to go see Straight Outta Compton at Edwards. We definitely got some interesting looks walking into the theater:
Dr. Dre’s debut solo album after leaving NWA was released on December 15, 1992. It’s a certified hip hop classic- it introduced G-Funk to the mainstream and also helped launched the careers of Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Kurrupt, Nate Dogg, and his stepbrother Warren G.

It’s his second best selling album after 2001. I’m just patiently waiting (after 17 years) for his next album Detox.
