“How can I help?” - This is how:
Back in January my long time radio co-worker and friend Spencer Burke passed away after a lengthy illness. My very kind and loving friend Laura had been by Spencer’s side and cared for him daily for the past couple of years. I’m so very thankful to our friend Bonnie who also very graciously pitched it to help keep Spencer company while also dedicating many hours to helping keep his house clean.
Since Spencer’s family all lives out of state Laura has shouldered most of the responsibility that comes helping someone with a terminal illness…such as getting them ready to pass over…and then trying to figure out what to do with all their “stuff” once they are gone.
I told Laura on several occasions to “tell me what I can do to help.” Well, this is it. Laura and Spencer’s family asked me if I could help get the word out and help them find new homes for all of his “stuff”…and there’s a LOT of it!
For instance Spencer had a very nice 2003 ford explorer that he bought brand new and he was the only one to ever own it, there’s also household furniture, collectors items, an autographed guitar and much more!
Laura and Spencer’s family are working with Treasure Valley Auction Network and now Spencer’s estate is ready to be viewed HERE.
Auctions are every Thursday at 6pm and EVERYTHING STARTS AT JUST ONE DOLLAR!
Treasure Valley Auction Network has local weekly auctions - check them out online at treasure valley auction network dot com.
Spencer will be missed by so many and I think he would appreciate the fact that we are utilizing something he was passionate about “radio” to help get the word out and find new homes for all of the many treasures he left behind.
