Mountain Home Man Turns In Envelope With $13,000

We have some GREAT people here in Idaho. It’s one of the reasons I love living here. You can drop an envelope with $13,000 in cash inside and someone will just give it right back. This man, Carlos Gomez is an honest, good man showing us how it’s done. How and Why Idaho is so GREAT!

Carlos Gomez was just honored with the Outstanding Service Award from the Mountain Home Police Department.

Carlos was driving in Mountain Home recently and saw dollar bills flying. He pulled over and found an envelope that had $13,000 in cash inside. Carlos immediately turned all the money into the police who quickly was able to find its true owner.

According to KTVB and The Mountain Home Police Department, an out-of-state contractor did a little shopping there. Put his envelope on the bumper while loading his things and then forgot about it. WHAT??? He forgot about $13,000? It happens to everyone at some point.

This money was make or break for this contractor. Fortunately for him, there are good people like Carlos willing to do the right thing.

People all over are praising Carlos right now and why not? They should be? Carlos, thank you for setting a good example. God bless you brother!
