Area ski resorts are scrambling to find workers ahead of the ski and snowboard season, but with the national labor shortage, they’re prepared to try and operate with 20% less staff.

According to an article on KTVB, Bogus Basin has already hired 200 employees but they need 500 employees to have the ski resort function at normal and not overload their staff or underserve their customers.

The hiring process has started a few weeks earlier than normal as the resort knew there would be challenges in finding workers.

Brundage is actually holding a job fair today from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and they say they even have a fixed amount of available housing funds for people that may be limited by location.

Other perks that both mountains offer are a free ski pass, skiing during breaks, and transportation up to the mountain.
