HBO Max finally gives us a Friends reboot teaser

Friends is coming back to television for one night only on May 27th and here is the first look we have of the reunion.

52.5 million people watched on the evening of May 26th, 2004 as the cast and crew of the television show Friends saw the culmination of 10 seasons play out on national television. The Friends series finale was the 4th most watched series finale in television history. Television critics argued that it could signal the end of the sitcom genre.

In November of 2019, it was announced that a Friends reunion was in the works but that certain cast members were still undecided on participating. Then 2020 hit and with it, a Pandemic that put everything on hold and the idea of a Friends reunion in doubt.

After all the speculation and doubt, we finally have our first taste of a Friends reunion. But, viewer be warned. It doesn’t sound like we’re getting a full on reboot of the show with entire seasons worth of material. No, this reunion will be one night, and one night only.

The reunion, which will air on May 27th on HBO Max will be a real life, unscripted celebration of the show. It will also feature special guests like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, BTS, Tom Selleck, David Beckham and more.
