Free Heart Survivors Celebration for Women

Heart disease can be found in people you wouldn’t suspect. Just before the holidays I found out I have dangerously high cholesterol. I’m not overweight. In fact, my naturally high metabolism made me feel invisible. I’ve led a fairly sedative lifestyle as an adult and although I have tried to eat relatively healthy, I was not conscientious about incorporating a “heart healthy” diet.

You may be surprised to learn that heart disease is the #2 cause of death in Idaho women over the age of 25.

If you are a woman who has survived a traumatic heart event, who has a family history or heart disease, or is you are like me and are learning to live with cardiac challenges you will love this free event!

  • February 1st at 6 pm

  • JUMP in downtown Boise

  • No ticket needed

You will hear from Boise cardiologist and University of Washington clinical professor, Dr. Steven Writer, explain about the latest advances in technology that are making heart disease treatment less invasive and with better patient outcomes.

You’ll also have the opportunity to talk with other women survivors and discusses their struggles and successes!

“Women Survivors’ Celebration” at JUMP is sponsored by “Women Heart” a local chapter of The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease.
