A Little Good Goes A Long Way

We are right in the middle of doing our annual “Christmas Crashers” with Joey & Lauren in the Morning and My 102.7 and I have learned an important lesson this year…..a little good, goes a long way.

By the end of this years Christmas Crashers, there will be multiple families in the Treasure Valley that will experience a Christmas of a lifetime, but this all happens because of groups of people all doing a little good, and it’s incredible.

In the picture above, this company (HDR) donated a plethora of gifts and presents for a very deserving family experiencing one of their darkest times….so how did this happen? Aubrey, an employee, was listening to our show, heard about Christmas Crashers, wanted to help out, so she sent a quick email to her coworkers asking for help. One simple email, that’s it. Not some grand gesture or some big convincing of her office mates, but rather, a simple act of kindness asking for a simple favor.

When we think about how we help people, it’s done with these little acts of kindness, spread out by a group of different people. Every person gives a little, and the impact is a lot. That’s what I’ve learned this year with Christmas Crashers. It’s good people, doing a little good, that goes a long way.

I am so grateful for each and every company, office, business, person, that has done a little good and asked their friends and coworkers to do the same, and has made Christmas Crashers another success. It’s people like you that make the Treasure Valley, and this world, a bright place.
