Two Guitar Gods Go Head to Head on New Song from Tom Morello

Tom Morello enlisted the help of fellow guitar aficionado Slash on a new song that showcases both players’ incredible prowess.

Tom Morello might be the busiest man in rock. Over the years he’s hopped from project to project with each endeavor producing an ever increasing level of musicianship. Take a look across the rock landscape and you’ll see that the bands and artists Tom has been associated with is a veritable who’s who of rock and roll.

Morello innovated with Rage Against the Machine, he later went on to form the super group Audioslave with former Rage members and called upon Chris Cornell for vocal duties. Not to be idle, Tom then went on to form The Night Watchman, Street Sweeper Social Club, Prophets of Rage, The Atlas Underground and even jammed with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. It’s therefore no surprise to see Tom teamed up with another one of rock’s premiere guitar virtuosos, Slash.

The new EP entitled Comandante features the two dueling it out on a song called Interstate 80. In true Tom Morello form, the song and video tell a story.

As the kids would say; that song slaps.
