Boise Family Writes AWESOME Children’s Book About Life on a Ranch! ft. Winston the Border Collie!
Lauren and Ben Denny were living life in the suburbs of the Treasure Valley when they decided to try something new. Looking for change and life outside of the city - the two decided to start a ranch in Emmett, ID! With the Scottish Highland cows, the chickens, lots of land and an extremely successful home decor company (Simply Stained Shop) started right at their home - the two decided to pack up their family, their animals, their shop and their Border Collie, Winston… to continue growing their ranch, their brand & their endeavors in - Oklahoma!
While the two continue to have Idaho in their hearts and plan to visit family and friends in the future - Oklahoma is treating them well!
Adding to their already successful Simply Stained Shop… their life with their growing family of ranch animals has turned into a company of its own called Simply Country Ranch starring animals like Rupert the Babydoll Ram (who just became a daddy), Lola the Scottish Highland cow, SO MANY CHICKENS, and Winston!
The Denny’s are so excited to share their journey with everyone… whether you follow them on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook: you fall in love with the entire Simply Country fam.
And to add to their sharing of life on the ranch… they have just released a new children’s book!
“Winston and the Missing Apples” was written by Lauren and Ben Denny & illustrated by Marina Halak! It follows their famous Border Collie, Winston through adventures that have happened on their ranch! It is an incredible story - but one of the COOLEST parts of the book is the QR codes throughout the pages that can be scanned so you can watch all the animals in real life!
We love following a local family on all their adventures within Idaho and beyond!
